Hi, I’m Ruben Stephen — an MIT mechanical engineering student, digital creator, and the founder of LearnWell.
As a first-gen low-income Haitian-American student who’s navigated the challenges of elite education — college apps, financial aid, internships, research, etc — largely through grit, strategic thinking, and community, I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming that path can be — especially without mentorship or guidance from people who’ve been there before.
I created this community because I was that kid grinding in silence. No roadmap. No network. Just hunger and Google.
I wanted to build the kind of ambitious, supportive, and strategic community that transforms not just college apps but lives, especially for the students who need it most.
I wanted to build the resource and community I wish I had earlier.
Not just tips and resources, but people who get it. Who are going places, and want to take you with them.

Who is this for?
High-achieving: Students with strong academic performance or the drive to excel (e.g., aiming for top-tier universities or prestigious career paths).
Growth-oriented: Individuals eager to develop their skills, habits, and mindset to achieve personal and academic success.
Goal-driven: Students who have clear aspirations and are committed to putting in the work to reach them.
HS: Grinding for top colleges, building standout résumés, mastering the SAT, etc
College: Aiming for prestigious internships, research, and career development
Collaborative: Those who value being part of a supportive, like-minded community and are excited to learn from and contribute to others.
Curious and motivated: Learners who are open to new ideas, eager to master the "game" of academics, and use it as a foundation for creating their dream life.
Who is this NOT for?

Solely academics-focused: While academic success is a focus, this community is about more than grades—it's about personal development and creating a meaningful life.
