The LearnWell Approach
In 2022, I applied to college through the QuestBridge National College Match, and although I didn’t match, I was fortunate to be accepted to MIT through the Early Action cycle. Because of financial constraints, I went through the entire application process alone — no private counselor, no early feedback, no safety net.
That experience was both isolating and empowering. I had to learn how to bet on myself, trust my instincts, and figure out how to tell my story in a way that felt honest and compelling.
My path wasn’t typical, and I know yours might not be either. That’s the point.
I’m not a college counselor or admissions officer, and I won’t pretend there’s a one-size-fits-all formula. However, I’ve been through the process, and I’ve learned how to stand out the right way — by being honest, intentional, and unmistakably you.
How Can I Help?
I don’t believe in cookie-cutter applications or pretending to be someone you’re not. I believe in differentiation through authenticity — leaning into your lived experience and using narrative strategy to make your application feel like you. Whether you’re FGLI, underrepresented, or just unsure where to start, I want to help you bring your story into focus.
